Siri Lindley is perhaps the most amazing woman in triathlon. A lot of people know she is an outstanding coach, guiding athletes to 4x IRONMAN World Championships, 2x IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship as well as winning the ONLY medal for Team USA in the Olympics for triathlon!
What most people don’t know, Siri was the most dominant female triathlete of her time, winning 13 ITU World Cup events between 2000 and 2002, to include the 2001 ITU World Championship.
Listen to Siri’s fantastic interview at ESonFire. Some of the things she talks about are:
A Glimpse into Team SIRIUS!
Siri takes us inside Team Sirius, home of professional athletes such as Mirinda Carfrae, Marybeth Ellis, Yvonne Van Vlerken and more. This glimpse behind the curtain of Team Sirius is awesome, they have produced the only American Olympic medal in triathlon, 4x IRONMAN World Championships, 2x IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship and many other wins.
Worst Moment as a Coach
Siri goes into bad moments when an athlete has something difficult happen to them. She talks about Mirinda in Kona last year, as well as how much she invests into each athlete.
